Intelligence becomes personal when it can understand context without turning that context into a public resource. It becomes useful to society when knowledge can still move, be challenged and improve.

Self
Private context belongs close to the person it describes. Memory, preference and intention should remain legible to the individual before they become useful to any system.

Commons
Public knowledge needs a different architecture: inspectable claims, plural contributors and visible revision. A commons is not a single model. It is the agreement that knowledge can be improved together.

Interface
The difficult design problem lives at the boundary. What can cross it, under whose consent, and with what trace? A good interface does not erase the distinction between personal and public intelligence; it makes the distinction usable.
